Training at TAFE
Do a business diploma through Southbank Institute of TAFE part time is really rewarding.
As a university graduate (from UCT), you leave and then get work experience because the lecturers themselves hadn’t actually been out there doing what they were preaching. The TAFE approach is a whole lot better!. The lecturers have been there and done that and so are able to impart to the students a “real world perspective”. Just this act alone is what made the business diploma so rewarding and enjoyable.
Yeah, I know it sucks when you have to work to earn a living to pay the bills and then still spend your evening in class. When you do or if you’ve done it, you’ll understand why it is so important that the lecturer / teacher understands and delivers real world experience – stuff you can use immediately.
Suddenly, you look forward to evening class – cause you know later you’ll leave tired but fulfilled – the extra effort is worth it!

The Southbank Institute of TAFE doesn’t just have business courses but also hairdressing, accounting, graphic design, internet multimedia, project management etc. and the course fees whether you do it full time or part time seem reasonable – well I think so.
