NLP – Neuro Linguistic Programming
NLP is all about noticing patterns. The great advantage is that knowing these patterns, they are transferable from well known successful individuals like Tony Robbins et al to blokes like me and you.
A click on an advert hosted on nurishme.com , took me to qcseminars.com where I signed up for a course.
After the usual sales pitch, a master NLP practitioner took the stage. It took minutes for him to take the normal day to day life and transform it.
It wasn’t that he change it, but rather he just got the audience to rethink and question the day. This seemingly useless task was absolutely amazing.
“The meaning of the communication is the response you get.”
“Everything is your responsibility, nothing is your fault.”
Concepts like the “map” versus the “territory” were introduced.
Most of us – myself included – focus on the map because that is our comfort zone. That is normal.
In NLP, the territory is looked at to expand the perception of reality. Again this action can be applied to those with whom you deal with – especially at work – your colleges
NLP is very very interesting.
I think I must have spent my life stuck in cave – something like Plato’s Allegory of the Cave.
If you are a lazy keyboard junkie, a visit to nlptc will explain NLP better.
